The Village Group Releases 2025 Impact Report

GEORGETOWN, SC — The Village Group has released its 2025 Impact Report highlighting the accomplishments of 2025 and detailing ambitious plans for the future.
The youth educational and enrichment programs that launched The Village Group 20 years ago, continue to grow and diversity in 2025 with goals of expanding the STEM/STEAM offerings, building more partnerships and adding Gullah-Geechee cultural heritage programming.
The Village Group is also endeavoring to grow its presence as a resource in the community, launching a capital campaign to build the Plantersville Cultural Complex. The Cultural Complex is at the heart of a bold and transformative vision of the future that represents a permanent investment in community, culture and opportunity.
“The next 20 years hold promise beyond measure. With the lessons we’ve learned, the partnerships we’ve strengthened, and the steadfast commitment of our supporters, we’re positioned to multiply our impact,” said Executive Director Ray C. Funnye in his opening letter. “Together, we’re not just changing lives, we’re shaping the future of Georgetown County.”
