The Village Group’s educational programs receive grant from Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation

GEORGETOWN, SC — The Village Group’s Plantersville Summer Academy and Afterschool Enrichment Program have received a grant of $6,000 from the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation.
“We are very grateful for the generosity of Dominion Energy with the award of this grant,” said Village Group Executive Director Ray Funnye. “We have had the opportunity to have an ongoing partnership with Dominion. It is with the support of community partners like them that we can provide young people with educational and enrichment opportunities to prepare them for college readiness and career success.”
The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation awards grants annually in four focus areas – human needs, environmental stewardship, education and community vitality – to eligible 501c3 organizations.
Grants are awarded to organizations within geographic areas where Dominion Energy provides service or has significant facilities or business interests. This includes Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina (Northeast region), Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and West Virginia (Grant and Tucker Counties).
